True Crime Music Podcast “Disgraceland” Releases First Episode of Season 3 Featuring Kurt Cobain & Courtney Love via The iHeartPodcast Network

First-Ever Live Shows in Boston and Denver This May and Clusterfest in June

NEW YORK — March 14, 2019 — Today, the explosive rock and roll true crime podcast "Disgraceland" released the first episode of its third season, a two-part episode focusing on Kurt Cobain & Courtney Love, via the iHeartPodcast Network. Part one is now available on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are available, with part two available Tuesday, March 19. New episodes will be released bi-weekly on Tuesdays beginning March 26 with an episode on Snoop Dogg. Listen to episode one here.

“The season one premiere on Kurt Cobain is special to me in a lot of ways. Kurt was tortured. And so was Courtney. It's a miracle one of them made it out alive,” explains host Jake Brennan. “This episode was an emotional speedball to write and voice; on the one hand, it was a time of intense grief, and on the other, the manic, exciting, heady days of the early nineties grunge explosion. I think listeners will find new insight into the previously well mined subject matter.”

Last month, Jake Brennan and iHeartMedia, the No. 1 commercial podcast publisher globally with over 20,000 podcasts on its iHeartRadio platform, announced a new partnership to bring listeners two additional seasons of “Disgraceland” to the iHeartPodcast Network. The partnership also includes a new slate of iHeartRadio Original podcasts led by Brennan set to be released later this year. Two of the originals include “Rocka Rolla,” a serialized version of Disgraceland with a 10-episode arc on the madness and genius of Phil Spector, and “The 27 Club,” a new anthology series that will explore the lives of rock stars who died mysteriously at the age of 27. The new slate of shows will be hosted by Brennan and co-produced by iHeartRadio in the style of “Disgraceland.”

Last week, Jake Brennan announced his first ever live shows at the Sinclair in Cambridge, MA on May 10 and at The Gothic Theatre in Denver, CO on May 25. The show will also make its first festival appearance at Comedy Central’s Clusterfest in San Francisco which takes place on June 21-23. Tickets for the Boston and Denver shows are on sale now and can be found on the Disgraceland website.
