Tim Castelli Named Executive Vice President Of Digital Sales For Clear Channel Media And Entertainment

NEW YORK, NY – February 29, 2012 – Clear Channel, the leading media company in America with a greater reach in the U.S. than any other radio or television outlet, today announced that long-time, digital advertising executive Tim Castelli will join the company as its Executive Vice President of Digital Sales for Clear Channel Media and Entertainment.  Castelli, who joins Clear Channel from American Online (NYSE: AOL - News) will report to John Hogan, Chairman and CEO of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment.
 
In his new role, Castelli will oversee the national digital sales efforts and develop innovative advertising products and programs across several Clear Channel Media and Entertainment divisions, including Strategic Partnerships, National Programming Platforms and National Advertising Platforms and iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s industry-leading digital radio service.  This new position serves to underline Clear Channel’s commitment to working closely with key advertising and marketing partners to create and deliver unique, effective opportunities on both the national and local levels across Clear Channel’s unmatched array of digital platforms.

Castelli has more than 20 years of experience in building advertising solutions for major U.S. clients and previously served as Senior Vice President of Sales for AOL’s Eastern US Region where he oversaw sales, account management and marketing in New York, Boston, Atlanta and across the eastern seaboard.  Prior to AOL, Castelli led advertising and partnership activities for technology, wireless and consumer electronic partners as the Technology Industry Director for Google. He also held the role of the company’s East Coast Managing Director overseeing the Eastern Region search and display advertising sales teams.  Before Google, Tim was the publisher of Rolling Stone Magazine, overseeing their advertising strategy, revenue generation and integrated media program development. Tim also spent 13 years at Ziff Davis Media in various management positions, including Senior Vice President of the Consumer Technology Group and Publisher of PC Magazine.
 
Tim graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
