iHeartMedia World Premieres New Single from Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton; Celebrates Usher’s New Album with Nationwide Campaign
Hosts iHeartRadio LIVE with Alec Benjamin, The Black Crowes
NEW YORK, N.Y. – February 9, 2024 – iHeartMedia recently celebrated new music and artists with World Premiere debuts and iHeartRadio LIVE shows. On February 9, Gwen Stefani & Blake Shelton’s new duet “Purple Irises” had a World Premiere debut across all iHeartCountry and iHeartRadio Hot AC stations.
Additionally, iHeartRadio celebrated Usher’s new album “Coming Home'' with a week-long promotion through the album’s release on February 9. Beginning February 5, iHeartRadio’s network of 177 Hip Hop, R&B, CHR and Rhythm CHR stations launched promos counting down to the album release. On the morning of February 8, 111 CHR and Rhythm CHR iHeartRadio stations featured a “mini mix” highlighting Usher’s biggest hits, and at midnight local time on February 9, all iHeartRadio CHR, Rhythm CHR, Hip Hop and R&B stations played the album in its entirety. On release day, iHeartRadio’s entire network of 66 Hip Hop and R&B stations participated in a national World Premiere campaign, running a 25-minute produced takeover featuring five new tracks from “Coming Home” and custom audio from Usher walking fans through the making of the album and inspiration behind the music.
On Monday, February 5, Alec Benjamin gave a stunning performance for his “iHeartRadio LIVE with Alec Benjamin” show, exclusively in Meta Horizon Worlds. He sang several of his hits, including 2018’s “If I Killed Someone For You” and “Let Me Down Slowly,” as well as the live performance of his single, “Different Kind of Beautiful.”
Also this week, The Black Crowes performed an intimate show on Tuesday, February 6, for “iHeartRadio LIVE with The Black Crowes” in celebration of their upcoming new album “Happiness Bastards,” out March 15. They performed classics including "Hard to Handle," "She Talks to Angels," "Gone," "Twice As Hard" and "Remedy," and new songs from the album, including opening track "Bedside Manners" and current single "Wanting And Waiting." The show was streamed live at 7pm PT/10pm ET via iHeartRadio's YouTube channel, as well as on iHeartRadio's Classic Rock and Rock stations, and on the free iHeartRadio app.
