iHeartMedia Debuts First NFT Hosted Show in Its Non-Fun Podcast Network

NEW YORK – June 22, 2022 – iHeartMedia, the No. 1 podcast publisher globally according to Podtrac, today announced the launch of “Prop Culture” – a first-of-its-kind podcast hosted by iHeartMedia’s very own Non-Fun Squad NFTs and voiced by top comedians and celebrities. The announcement was made at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity during a metaverse and innovation panel featuring Paris Hilton, the self-proclaimed “Queen of the Metaverse.” Fans can hear the first episode now on IHeartRadio and everywhere podcasts are heard.

Prop Culture” is hosted by NFTs and voiced by show writers. The NFTs include Loot Bag #2020 voiced by Matt Harrigan (TV writer, producer and voice actor known for his work on The Late Show with David Letterman, Celebrity Death Match, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Aqua Teen Hunger Force), Quirkies #1988 voiced by Jiyoung Lee (director and writer for independent video-movies) and Quirkies #307 voiced by Dave Bonawits (producer and musician with featured series on Adult Swim). During the series, the hosts will be joined by other celebrities who are proud NFT owners including Paris’s very own Bored Ape NFT which will make an appearance on the podcast in a future episode. Throughout the show, hosts and guests will dissect the latest in pop culture and wager on what unexpected entertainment news will break next, placing outlandish and hilarious prop bets with one another.

“Prop Culture'' was launched at Cannes during a panel discussion hosted by iHeartMedia and Vatom that focused on NFTs, metaverse and media. Participants in the discussion included Paris Hilton, Conal Byrne (CEO, iHeartMedia Digital Audio Group), Gayle Troberman (CMO, iHeartPodcasts), and Eric Pulier (Founder & CEO, Vatom). The leaders in the space talked about predictions, key learnings from the past year and how iHeartMedia will continue to develop innovative technology to push boundaries in the metaverse
