iHeartMedia Announces Key Promotions And Additions To Its Washington, D.C.-Based Government Affairs Team

WASHINGTON, D.C. – February 26, 2024 – iHeartMedia announced today that David Pigue has been named Senior Director/Policy Counsel and Sophia Gonzalez has been named Manager of Government Affairs, effective immediately. Additionally, iHeart’s Government Affairs DC-based office has elevated Jessica Marventano and Sara Morris to Executive Vice President and Vice President of Government Affairs, respectively. 

Pigue joins iHeartMedia following seven years advising U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) on technology, telecommunications, consumer protection, finance, banking, budget, tax, health care and judiciary policy issues. Gonzalez most recently served as Deputy Director of Scheduling and Assistant to the Chief of Staff for Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Georgia). Both Pigue and Gonzalez will report to Marventano.

Jessica Marventano has led iHeartMedia’s Government Affairs team since 2002 and serves on the Board of the National Association of Broadcasters. Sara Morris joined iHeart in 2015 after three decades in various Hill, federal agency and private sector roles. 

Pigue held multiple roles on Senator Sullivan’s staff, culminating as Counsel to the Senator, and has experience in transportation law and regulation, having served in the Office of General Counsel in the Department of Transportation. A native of Alabama, Pigue worked as a summer associate at the Birmingham-based law firm of Bachus, Brom and Taylor LLC and was a Market Analyst at First Advisor’s Capital, Inc, also in Birmingham. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Law. 

Gonzalez, a Georgia native, previously served Mr. Ossoff in a variety of campaign positions and has worked in the offices of Representative Lucy McBath (D-GA) and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). She is a graduate of Georgia College – Milledgeville.
