The Snowy Makeover Features All-New Winter Elements, Games and Holiday Fun

NEW YORK – November 30, 2022 – iHeartMedia today announced that iHeartLand, the premiere metaverse destination and always-on entertainment space where music and gaming collide, will transform into a Winter Wonderland to celebrate the changing season. Along with fresh snowfall, brand-new minigames and plenty of opportunities for users to experience holiday joy, iHeartLand will host a packed slate of exciting events in the coming weeks. 

The iHeartLand transformation centers around a new user experience to mirror the changing seasons with ice skating, snowball fights, hot cocoa, new winter-themed games, virtual merchandise (verch) and more. Along with the changing landscape will come a star-studded slate of events at iHeartLand’s State Farm Park including special metaverse podcast events and incredible musical performances. Darren Criss kicked off the lineup of events by performing songs from his holiday album “A Very Darren Crissmas” over Thanksgiving weekend. 

Upcoming list of winter programming includes:

  • British singer-songwriter Mimi Webb takes over iHeartLand’s State Farm Park stage singing her latest single “Ghost of You'' and more now through December 1. Webb’s metaverse performance comes ahead of her debut studio album, Amelia, set to release on March 3, 2023 via Epic Records. Users will also have the opportunity to use in-game currency to purchase special verch to celebrate her show and take part in interactive quizzes about the singer.

 

  • The iHeartPodcast “And That’s What You REALLY Missed” will stream a special episode event in iHeartLand’s State Farm Park beginning December 8 at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT. Hosts Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz will be joined by their former “Glee” co-star Darren Criss for a special episode where they talk about holiday traditions, both from the hit show and their own personal lives. The can’t-miss conversation will include the trio singing some holiday favorites and decorating cookies together with hilarious results. The event will stream in iHeartLand through December 11.

 

  • iHeartPodcasts’ curiosity show “BrainStuff” will bring an informative special exploring science in the everyday world to the metaverse beginning December 15 at 7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. Users will be able to interact while the podcasting event takes place in State Farm Park with features like quizzes and a scavenger hunt. The episode will stream in iHeartLand through December 19. 

 

  • Starting December 23rd at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT, Pentatonix will celebrate the holiday season with an epic a cappella performance full of holiday favorites and songs from their new album, Holidays Around The World and more. The concert will stream in iHeartLand through December 25 and fans will be able to participate in a special quiz, have access to a limited holiday onesie and experience an exclusive interview with the group members.
