Drake Joins Unparalleled Line-Up At Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio Music Festival 2013

  Clear Channel Media and Entertainment today announced that Grammy® Award-winning, multi-platinum selling recording artist Drake has been added to the line-up for the iHeartRadio Music Festival, the two-day music event hosted by Ryan Seacrest at MGM Grand Las Vegas. Drake joins an extraordinary line-up including Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, J. Cole, Elton John, Muse, Tiësto, Chris Brown, Keith Urban, fun., Miguel, Bruno Mars, Phoenix, Zedd, Maroon 5, Tim McGraw, Ke$ha, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Benny Benassi, plus a rare live appearance by legendary rock band Queen + Adam Lambert, this year's Macy's iHeartRadio Rising Star winner, The Summer Set and other special surprise guests to be announced later.


Drake’s performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival comes on the heels of his highly anticipated Sept. 17 release of NOTHING WAS THE SAME.  NOTHING WAS THE SAME follows the critically acclaimed and platinum-selling TAKE CARE (Young Money/Cash Money/Universal Republic), which earned Drake his first Grammy® Award for “Best Rap Album” and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in 2011.

This year, the Festival gets even bigger with the addition of the “iHeartRadio Music Festival Village” on Saturday afternoon. The Festival Village will feature live performances on two stages by nearly a dozen popular and up-and-coming artists, including Miley Cyrus, The Wanted, Jason Derulo, The Band Perry, Avril Lavigne, Krewella, Cher Lloyd, twenty one pilots, Pete Tong, AWOLNATION and a special guest appearance by Ne-Yo.

When: iHeartRadio Music Festival takes place Sept. 20 and 21, 2013.  Drake will perform on Saturday evening, Sept. 21.

The iHeartRadio Village will take place at The Lot across from Luxor Hotel on Saturday, Sept. 21.
