New York, NY– April 2, 2012 – Clear Channel, the leading media company in America with a greater reach than any radio or television outlet, today announced the return of the popular iHeartRadio Music Festival, the biggest live concert event in radio history – another two-day, star-studded festival, hosted at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 21 and 22, 2012.

The 2011 inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival featured performances and one-of-a-kind collaborations from some of the biggest names in the music industry, including Lady Gaga, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Alicia Keys, Steven Tyler, The Black Eyed Peas, Kenny Chesney, Jennifer Lopez, Usher, Sting, Carrie Underwood, Jane’s Addiction, Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Rascal Flatts, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, Sublime with Rome and Jeff Beck.  The 2012 performance line-up will be announced this summer, and media powerhouse Ryan Seacrest will again be one of the event's hosts.

“When we introduced the iHeartRadio Music Festival in 2011, we set out to deliver a groundbreaking, must-see live music event that would take our listeners and the music industry by storm, and, like our iHeartRadio digital service, showcase top artists across all genres of music,” said Bob Pittman, Clear Channel CEO.  “The overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural festival made it clear that history shouldn't just repeat itself — we should strive to make it an even better experience for music fans.  A deep love for music continues to be the heart of everything we do, and our goal this year is to over-deliver on our listeners' expectations while showcasing the unmatched power of Clear Channel’s reach and integrated media and entertainment capabilities.”

The inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival, which sold out in just 10 minutes after tickets went on sale to the general public, marked the official launch of the New iHeartRadio, Clear Channel’s free, industry-leading digital music service.  iHeartRadio provides users a best-in-class customizable digital listening experience that combines the best of both worlds to deliver everything listeners want in one free, fully-integrated service: instant access to more than 800 of the nation's most popular live broadcast and digital-only radio stations from 150 cities, plus user-created Custom Stations inspired by favorite artists and songs.

“The New iHeartRadio has reinvented the digital listening experience and has exceeded fans’ expectations since its launch last September at the inaugural iHeartRadio Music Festival,” said John Hogan, Chairman and CEO of Clear Channel Media and Entertainment.  “It has been widely acclaimed by the music industry, technology reviewers and fans as best-in-class, and was recently named the official winner of the About.com Readers’ Choice Award for Best Radio App.  We are thrilled to bring back the iHeartRadio Music Festival to celebrate the success of our fully-integrated digital product, which continues to reshape our industry.”

iHeartRadio is the number one free broadcast app on the iPhone and Android.  iHeartRadio’s Facebook page has grown more than 2.8 million fans in less than a year with the announcement of the 2011 iHeartRadio Music Festival.  Clear Channel continues to be one of the most popular digital music destinations, given the 100 million listening hours a month, more than 60 million downloads of iHeartRadio mobile apps, and more than a 15 million fan reach through its station and radio personality Facebook pages.

Clear Channel will again share this unrivaled two-day music event with fans nationwide through a summer-long on-air and online “Road to Vegas” promotion across its 850 radio stations and websites, through iHeartRadio.com and via stations' Facebook pages, including facebook.com/iHeartRadio.   Further details including ticket information, show line-up and exclusive “Road to Vegas” content will be available this summer.
